Vanessa Loubier
(she/her)
Hello, I am Vanessa.
At The Inner Compass, I believe in the power of empathy, support, and understanding. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards personal growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Growing up in Morocco and France before moving to the UK in 1998, I bring a culturally aware and inclusive perspective to my counselling practice, with a deep appreciation for diverse experiences and ways of being. I am also able to offer counselling in French, supporting French-speaking clients in their own language.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in education, media, and community support, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds. I also volunteered with organisations such as the Samaritans and as a Carers and Alzheimer’s KIT Listener, experiences that continue to inform my compassionate and human approach to counselling.
I am passionate about photography, storytelling, and creativity, and I often draw on these interests to inspire new perspectives and approaches in my work.
I trained at the University of Portsmouth and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), ensuring that my practice is ethical, professional, and safe.
